Thank you .

Just a quick post to say a big thank you to everyone who followed my Blog but due to other commitments and my lack of gaming I've now sold this army/project to someone else for them to carry it on. This is the last post . Once again thank you for reading my various musings about put together a 28mm Medieval army.

Same army different game.

I've just finished covering  the first movement trays (from Warbases) to upgrade the army to Impetus, Here's some photos of  how the figs look in them. Ive also started painting the next unit of Foot Spearmen.

Lord of Alnwick Castle.."bring him down!!"

Well my first conversion using Fireforge Miniatures is now complete.  There's one or two things I will do differently next time, but for my first go I'm quiet happy with it. So without any further ado here's some photos. Give em a click ;-).

The next chapter.

As I've now got enough miniatures painted to have the odd game of Saga its time to move the army up to the next level...Impetus.With this in mind I looked at the list for Basic Impetus and ordered my movement bases from Warbases

Today the bases arrived and all I can say is these bases are fantastic and the customer service was very very good. I ordered 11 in all some foot and some cav . Here's a photo of the two types before I start with the grit and flock :-

Here's some photos of the completed foot units, the Knights can be seen close up in previous post so I not posted those again.

WIP, First FireForge Conversion

Having just completed painting enough Feudal figures for a 4pt Saga warband (photos to follow) I thought Id give the rank and file painting a rest so Ive set about trying to do a conversion with some of the Fireforge plastics. For this conversion I used parts from the Mtd Templer, Mtd Seargent and Foot Seargent box sets with lots of cutting, filing, bending, and various amounts of Miliput etc. I wanted to get three figures on a standard cav base and get the horse rearing up, sliding and twisting at the same time and hopfully give some movement to the knight and foot men. Its finally looking something like I want it.These photos taken before Id fully cleaned up the model before prep and prime.. but you get the idea.

More Foot heed the call.

Here's the next set of Spearmen and Crossbowmen to heed the call of their Feudal Lord. Had a slight problem with one of the Crossbowmen when I snipped off part of his crossbow (bugger) So a withering tree had to be made and fitted to hide the problem, looks okay but not something I would have added by choice. As always give em a click to make em bigger as Ive not work out how to get them big right off yet??

And a group photo of the chaps so far :-
